Step One

Register Your Account


Sign up by entering the required personal and contact details. Once your account has been created, you can proceed to identity verification and payment.

  • ✔ Verify your email and create a secure account. Remember to check the spam folder for verification email.
  • ✔ Continue to identity verification

Step Two

Verify Your Identity

All Finding Keepers members must complete identity verification. This helps us maintain a safer and more trustworthy community.

A verified community built on trust

You will be notified once your account has been successfully reviewed and verified.

  • ✔ Upload your Hong Kong Identity Card; or
  • ✔ Upload a valid Hong Kong visa if you are not a
    permanent resident
  • ✔ Upload your photo. 
    It should be a recent, modest photo of yourself that reflects Islamic values of Haya. Please ensure the photo only includes you and is appropriate for a respectful matrimony setting.
  • ✔ Pay the applicable registration or membership fee
  • ✔ Upload a screenshot or other proof of payment
  • Allow approximately 1–3 working days for review

Step Three

Build Your Marriage CV

Once your account has been verified, you will receive a link via your registered email to access to the Marriage CV Builder.

You will answer a series of questions about your background, family, interests, religious values, lifestyle, preferences, finances and long-term goals.

  • ✔ Complete and submit your own Marriage CV before browsing
  • ✔ Names and direct contact details are not displayed

Your Marriage CV must be completed first

You will not be able to browse other members’ Marriage CVs until your own CV has been completed and submitted.

Step Four

Browse Potential Matches

Once your Marriage CV has been submitted, you can begin browsing potential matches in the private Finding Keepers database.

  • ✔ Review profiles at your own pace
  • ✔ Consider compatibility, values and long-term goals
  • ✔ Select “Show Interest” on a suitable profile
  • ✔ Show interest in up to three profiles at one time

You may show interest in a maximum of three members at any one time.

From Interest to Introduction

How Matching Works

Matching takes place in three clear stages. The member who first shows interest remains the original initiator throughout the process.

Member A expresses interest in Member B and becomes the original initiator.

Member A chooses whether to formally initiate the introduction.

The Three Stages

A Clear and Respectful Process

An introduction only begins after interest has been expressed, returned and confirmed by the original initiator.

Member A Shows Interest

If Member A finds Member B’s Marriage CV suitable, Member A can select “Show Interest.”

  • – Member B receives a notification
  • – Member A becomes the original initiator
  • – Both profile photos become visible
  • – Both members can review the complete CVs
  • – No contact details are shared

Member B Returns Interest


If Member B would also like to explore the potential
match, they can select “Return Interest.”

  • – Mutual interest is confirmed
  • – Member A remains the original initiator
  • – No introduction begins automatically
  • – No direct contact details are exchanged
  • – The introduction option becomes available to Member A only

Member A Initiates the Introduction

After Member B returns the interest, Member A can decide whether to proceed by selecting “Initiate Introduction.”

  • – Only the original initiator can take this step
  • – Returning interest does not automatically begin the introduction
  • – The Finding Keepers admin team is notified once the introduction is initiated

Seven Days to Respond

After receiving an interest request, the recipient has seven days to review the original initiator’s Marriage CV and provide a response.

Return Interest

Confirm that you would also like to explore the potential match.

Reject Interest

Confirm that you do not wish to proceed with the
potential match.

Take No Action

If no response is provided within seven days, the interest request will expire.

Requests remain active for seven days so that members are not left waiting indefinitely.

Respecting Every Decision

What Happens if Interest Is Rejected?

If Member B rejects Member A’s interest request, that potential match will be permanently closed.

Member A will not be able to show interest in Member B again or submit another request to Member B at a later date. Both members may continue browsing and considering other profiles.

This policy respects members’ decisions and prevents repeated requests after a member has clearly chosen not to proceed.

Once Member A initiates the introduction, the Finding Keepers admin team is notified.

Common Questions

Process FAQs

The minimum age required to sign up is 21.

Parental consent is highly recommended to ensure a smooth process. However, as per the Hong Kong law, you are not required to have parental consent in order to sign up or pursue a match.

The registration fee is HKD500 required to be paid at sign up.

You are required to upload the following:

  1. HKID
  2. If you are not a permanent resident, you will also need to upload your latest visa
  3. Your recent photo
  4. Proof of payment

The photo you upload shall also be used to display at your profile. Therefore, please ensure your photos follow the following guidelines:

  • Please upload a clear, recent photo of yourself dressed modestly, in keeping with Islamic values.
  • Photos should include only you—no group pictures—and should reflect the dignity and haya we encourage across our community.
  • No filters or AI generated photos
  • If a sister wears niqabi, she can upload her photo in a niqab. Photos with face masks are not allowed

    To encourage a more thoughtful and mindful browsing, all profile photos shall be blurred. They will only be revealed to those who express an interest in the profile.

You can browse potential matches after your account has been verified and your Marriage CV has been completed and submitted.

Your profile photo may remain blurred during general browsing. When a member shows interest, both parties’ profile photos become visible to one another.

The recipient has seven days to return the interest, reject it or allow the request to expire without a response.

The potential match is permanently closed. The original initiator cannot show interest in that same member again at a later date.

Only the member who originally selected “Show Interest” can initiate the introduction after the recipient has returned the interest.

Both Marriage CVs are hidden from the database until there is an outcome. Neither member can receive or pursue additional matches during this time.

No, Finding Keepers is designed for single Muslims in Hong Kong only.

Yes, you can sign up as long as you are not married at that frame of time.

The contact details will only be shared once finding keepers admin has official arranged a meeting between a potential match. No contact details will be shared prior to that.

No, you are only required to pay once at the sign up. No payment will be collected afterwards.

No, the registration fee will not be returned if the interest is rejected. You will continue to have access to the marriage cv database to explore further potential matches.
